NZTC International Art Department

NCTC International maintains a fully-equiped graphic arts department specialising in multilingual dtp and design and foreign language typesetting. Our graphics team has particular expertise in Japanese typesetting and Chinese dtp.

Natasha Simeonidis
Graphic Artist

Natasha is a second generation New Zealander whose family originally came from Greece. She was born in the extreme southern part of the country - Invercargill - about as far from Greece as you can possibly go!

Natasha has a Bachelor of Design from Wellington's Victoria University, and majored in Visual Communications. Talking about her job as a graphic artist at NZTC International, she says, "As well as working within a variety of formats of print material, within the same day I can be typesetting Chinese, Arabic, Thai and French! This keeps my job varied and very interesting, as each language is unique and each dictates its own rules."

Health and fitness is a significant interest for Natasha after hours. Since 2003 she has been teaching FightFit (kickboxing) classes at City Fitness Johnsonville. "I really enjoy teaching: it's great fun, you get to meet lots of people and get fit at the same time," she says.

Natasha's easy-going nature, her years of experience in graphic design and dtp, combined with her enthusiasm for her work make her a valuable asset to the company's Art Department.

Ken Muramatsu
Technical Artist / Translator

Ken was born in Tokyo, Japan. He has a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from Tokyo International University, and a BA (Hons) in International Relations from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand.

Originally employed as a Japanese translator, Ken was later snatched up by the Art Department for his talent with computers and problem-solving abilities. Ken's expertise in dealing with the intricacies of Japanese typesetting in both Macintosh and Windows environments has made him an indispensable member of the department in the areas of online and multilingual desktop publishing.

Lisa King
Graphic Artist

Lisa was born in Te Anau, New Zealand and has a Fine Arts background. Her passion was for painting and she completed a degree in Visual Arts & Media in Nelson, New Zealand.

Lisa is a talented designer with a flair for creative presentation - her work can be spotted in many of NZTC's brochures, marketing materials and in-house publications.

"What I like about working for this company is that everyone is really down-to-earth and approachable," says Lisa. When she's not laying out websites in Chinese or software manuals in Spanish, Lisa likes to devote her free time to her own creative passion - painting.
