Takane Kirkman Japanese Translator
(Department Head)
Born in Yokohama, Japan, Takane
has a BA in Sociology from Musashi University.
She has had corporate experiences
and has also worked at a New Zealand university. Since
she joined the company, she has gained wide experience
in the translation of materials ranging from tourism
to commercial and legal documents.
Now a mother of one, she has
successfully combined this role with her fulltime professional
career as a Japanese translator.

Ken Muramatsu Technical
Artist / Japanese Translator
Ken was born in Tokyo, Japan,
with a long family line proud of being Tokyo locals
for at least 300 years. However, Ken broke with that
tradition when he decided to come and live in New Zealand.
He has a Bachelor's degree in
International Studies from Tokyo International University,
and a BA (Hons) in International Relations from Victoria
University, Wellington, New Zealand.
At NZTC, Ken splits his time
between Japanese translation and graphic design.
Although he works as a translator,
he says 'I have a devotion to literature and a die-hard
dream to be a writer someday.'
